Prime Recognition Announces PrimeOCR Version 3.9

Woodinville, WA - Prime Recognition has released the latest version of its award winning software PrimeOCR version 3.9. The latest version adds several capabilities to PDF output and enhances features in the InputAccel modules.

New features in PrimeOCR version 3.9 include:

• Optimized PDF output - PrimeOCR can now generate optimized PDF files directly without having to pass through an additional step in the conversion process.  Optimized PDF files are organized so multi-page PDF files can be served to PDF viewers one page at a time over the internet.  PDF optimization also removes redundant content from the PDF file further reducing file size.

• PDF bookmarks - Navigational bookmarks can now be created for each page of PDF output.  Through the PrimeOCR API bookmarks can be generated from pre-defined terms or the OCR results can be used to define the bookmark description text.  Bookmarks can have a single level or multi-level hierarchy for each page in the PDF file.

• Faster generation of PDF Image Only output - Several enhancements have been made to provide for even faster conversion of TIFF to PDF Image Only PDF output.  PrimeOCR can now convert over 45,000 images per hour to PDF image only.

• InputAccel 3.0 support - The PrimeOCR InputAccel module now supports the latest release of InputAccel 3.0, including IPP support.

• InputAccel Setup moved to Supervisor - Setup within the InputAccel module has now been moved to Supervisor with the latest release of PrimeOCR version 3.9.

• Minor improvements and bug fixes - Minor changes to all products improve reliability and usability of the software with the latest release.
